Kyle Ehler-Vock and Brendan Lahue, standout South Burlington High School senior hockey players, were selected to play in this summer’s All-Star Twin State Hockey Classic, Saturday, June 25, at UVM’s Gutterson Field House. Team VT will be coached by the Rebels’ Sean Jones. Fans will see Ehler-Vock on the ice at the Classic, while Lahue declined participation due to a scheduling conflict.
The Classic showcases top high school seniors from Vermont versus rival New Hampshire players. All proceeds from the event go to fulfill special wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish Vermont has granted over 725 wishes since its inception in 1989, and the New Hampshire chapter has granted more than 1,320 wishes in the last 29 years. The Hockey Classic has raised over $250,000 toward those wishes.
The 24th Annual Hockey Classic faces off June 25, with the women’s game (19th annual event) beginning at 4 p.m. and the men’s following at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door. Further information is available by calling Cathy Foutz at 802-363-8176 or the Vermont Make-A-Wish office at 864-9393, or by checking the Hockey Classic website, www.allstarhockeyclassicvtnh.org.
