Hanna Holm and Hanna Gustafson won the Sportsmanship Award at the Kids Adventure Games (KAG) in late July. The event, for kids age six to 14, is an adventure challenge course held annually in Stowe. Awards are given at the conclusion of the race, with prize money given to charitable causes. Holm and Gustafson, who both will be freshman at South Burlington High School this fall, donated $100; Holm to the Vermont Children’s Hospital and Gustafson to the Humane Society of Chittenden County. Holm described the KAG experience as challenging, “It really puts your teamwork skills to the test, but the rewarding feeling afterwards makes it all worth it.” Gustafson agrees, adding, “Overall the experience is a lot of fun, especially when you can do it with a friend.”
