SBHS Veterans Assembly at 10:30 a.m.
The City of South Burlington Veterans Committee and South Burlington High School invite all Veterans and their families, as well as the general public, to attend the annual South Burlington Veterans Day Ceremony Wednesday, November 11 at 10:30 a.m. in the South Burlington High School gymnasium. The assembly will pay tribute to Veterans of all wars past and present.
The South Burlington Fire Department will provide an Honor Guard and present the colors for the assembly. The SBHS Chamber Singers will sing The National Anthem, and students will share their Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) speeches. The keynote speaker is Lieutenant Scott Mcann, United States Coast Guard The Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will present a wreath, and Veterans in attendance will be acknowledged for their service to our country.
Veterans Memorial Park at 12 noon
Following the ceremony at the high school, there will be a brief service at Veterans Memorial Park on Dorset Street at 12 noon. The Vermont Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will lay a wreath on the granite memorial, and the SBHS Chamber Singers will perform.
