Final interviews for the position of City Manager are scheduled to begin Thursday, September 5th. Each of the candidates is scheduled for meetings with City department heads, and final interviews with the City Council. They will also have an opportunity to meet and greet members of the community in a public session.
There are four final candidates. One of the finalists is Kevin Dorn, who has served as Interim City Manager since April 2013, and previously served as Secretary of Commerce and Community Development for the State of Vermont.
Todd Odit currently serves as the Town Administrator for Jericho and has served as the Assistant Town Manager in Essex. Ronald Wilde has served as the FEMA Community Manager for Hackleburg, Alabama, and served as a Provincial Governance Advisor for the USAID program in Iraq. Michael Stampfler has served as the Town Manager for Warwick, RI and was the Governor of Michigan’s appointee to serve as the Emergency Manager for Pontiac, MI.
An outline of the public session schedule is posted below, and each of these sessions will be held from 12 noon-2:00 pm at the Municipal Office Building, at 575 Dorset Street.

The City Council will meet in Executive Session on September 16th to discuss a possible appointment. Once a contract has been signed and extensive background check performed, the selection will be made public. For any questions, please contact Janice Ladd, Human Resources, at 846-4107.
