The City Manager Search Committee held its organizational meeting on July 11th, and subsequently met again on July 25th.  The committee has begun to review applications following the deadline for submissions in early August, and in addition to its own work, is seeking public input for qualities most important to residents for our new City Manager.  If you have specific qualities in mind that you’d like to share with the committee, please forward your comments to Lisa Ventriss, Committee Chair, at lisa@vtroundtable.org.  Community input will be used to help develop pertinent questions for applicants as part of the interview process.

An aggressive timetable has been developed by the committee which will lead to initial round interviews of candidates on August 19th and the forwarding of a short-list for final interviews to the City Council no later than August 22nd.  Finalists will be interviewed in late August-early September with City Council making a selection and announcement at its meeting scheduled for September 16th.  

The committee will continue to present updates to the City Council at each of the Council’s regularly scheduled meetings.
