The Chittenden South Burlington (CSB) Bantam AA hockey team was recently crowned the best youth hockey U14 team in the state when they won the Vermont state title in Woodstock, Vermont on March 5. The team won the title over Rutland, 8-2. The CSB U14 team, which has been playing together since mid-October, will go on to represent Vermont in the Tier II 2016 Toyota USA Hockey National Tournament in Charlotte, North Carolina. The national tournament, which takes place March 31 through April 4, will host over 40 of the best U14 teams in the country, including the CSB U14 team.

Five players on the winning CSB team hail from South Burlington including Ty Bernadet, Teddy Hopper, Gabe Frigo, James Patrick, and Ray Thibeault. The CSB team is coached by Jed Dousevicz along with Tim Hopper and Kevin Patrick, both from South Burlington. Rounding out the team are Aiden Achilles, Charlie Averill, James Bernicke, Macauley Bernier, Reed Dousevicz, Seth Fisher-Olvera, Carter Harvey, Mackenzie Miller, Colton Murphy, Jake Schaefer, and Michael Walsh.
