The Visual and Performing Arts Department of The South Burlington Schools invites everyone to enjoy the annual Fine Arts Festival. Come celebrate the work of our present elementary, middle and high school students and see the arts opportunities that lie ahead for all students. This year’s festival will feature a comprehensive high school visual art show, K-5 and 6-8 visual art exhibits and fun hands on art activities for all. The K-12 art exhibit features the developmental nature of the art program through the grades. Look for our theme “Patterns” throughout the show.
The jazz band will offer some small group presentations. One will feature an amazing trombone section, Matt Bonna, Jiangyong Yu, Logan Hall-Potvin, Quentin Heinzer, with Matt Gordon, David Spargo and Trent Stabler accompanying. The other will feature original music by David Spargo and Isaac Gittelsohn. Additional musical events include various small ensembles and a special exhibit of integrated visual art and music composition created by our FHT Middle School students.
This is an exciting opportunity for all residents of South Burlington to see some of the best work achieved by our students at a variety of grade levels.
Please plan to take part in this joyous event celebrating our student artists., Wednesday evening April 16, from 6:30-8:45p.m. at South Burlington High School.
Admission is free.
