At last week’s Development Review Board meeting, Roger Farley was unanimously elected clerk. He succeeds Joe Randazzo, whose resignation was submitted to and accepted by the City Council January 30th.

Reached at his South Burlington home Tuesday morning, Randazzo declined to comment on the reason for why he left the panel. He sat on the Development Review Board for about six months, he said.

Randazzo, who has lived in the city for 27 years, said the idea of volunteering time is a noble one, pushing a person to think of others. “You have to be community-minded,” he said. “You have to think of others rather than of self.

The item to appoint a new clerk had initially fallen later in the February 7th agenda, but Board members chose to advance it, with the nomination being voted on minutes after the meeting began.
