Anne-Marie Farmer of South Burlington is one of nine freshmen selected to join the University of Vermont women’s lacrosse team for the 2014 season. Ms. Farmer is playing a forward in her rookie season with the Catamounts. The announcement was made by the Head coach recently.

Anne-Marie graduated from South Burlington High School. She was named to the All-New England team in 2011 and 2012  and helped lead her team to state championships in both her sophomore and senior seasons. She was named team captain and MVP in both her junior and senior seasons. She was selected for the Twin State All-Star Senior Game. In her high school career, she tallied 98 career points on 53 goals and 45 assists. In addition to her other lacrosse acheivements, she was a two-time All-American in lacrosse and three-time state champion in high school.

Farmer is the daughter of Pat Dion and Bill Farmer. She is a secondary education major.
