Boys Indoor Track State Champs

The South Burlington boys indoor team added the State Championship to their impressively growing resume this past Saturday, cruising to victory at Norwich University to claim their first indoor championship since 2011. South Burlington’s girls team finished fourth overall in competition. Head coach Dennis Akey expressed praise for both teams and effort and dedication shown on Saturday and throughout the entire season. “The boys were led by a dominating mid-distance crew and a HUGE performance from Caleb Kasupski in the long jump, pole vault, high jump, and hurdles! The girl’s team outscored what they projected by eleven points, so they also had a huge day even though they didn’t take home any hardware. A lot of personal records and surprising top performances that made everyone head home happy!”
