South Burlington battled to a hard-fought win this past week, defeating St. Albans on the road in a 50-45 victory. Three Rebels reached double figures in scoring in the game, with Allie Bosley, Elizabeth Khosravi, and Emma MacDonough each scoring 13 points in the contest. With the win, South Burlington improves to 9-11 on the season. The Rebels advance to take on St. Johnsbury Tuesday 2/23 at 7:00p.m. (after press deadline)
The Rebels fell to Northfield 3-2 last week. South Burlington advances to play Middlebury and will have to try and defeat the Tigers in a road matchup in the quarterfinals this Wednesday, 2/24 at 5:00p.m. (after press deadline)
South Burlington struggled against Colchester this past week, losing to the Lakers 2-1. The Rebels travel to Essex to take on the Hornets this Wednesday 2/24 at 7:00p.m. (after press deadline)
The Rebels competed in the pom and jazz categories in last weekend’s high school dance championships, finishing second and third in the events respectively. Burr & Burton, Mt. Mansfield, and Lamoille took championship victories in pom, hip-hop, and jazz.
The Rebels finished 2nd in this past weekend’s gymnastics state championships. South Burlington finished behind Essex, who laid claim to their 11th gymnastics state title.
The Rebels finished 3rd as a team in this past weekend’s cheerleading state championships. South Burlington finished with 150 points, behind BFA-St. Albans and Division II state champions Mill River.
