When former 12 year school board chair Richard Cassidy announced he would be resigning from his position effective June 30, with 8 months remaining in his term, the board had to act quickly to find a suitable replacement. June 24, 2013, Dan Fleming was appointed unanimously to complete Cassidy’s 8 month term on the board. At the school board meeting held July 10, Fleming was formally welcomed to the board and the business of re-organization occurred. Long time school board clerk Elizabeth Fitzgerald was unanimously elected to serve as chair and Martin LaLonde was appointed clerk. With the business of reconfiguring complete, the Board is ready to continue forging ahead into the new academic year.
