SB High School’s cafeteria was filled with brand new, community-donated toys on the evening of January 26, and it was also filled with compassion and caring, as close to one hundred people, led by teenagers involved in Key Club and PACT (Parents and Adults Celebrating Children and Teens), put together gift bags for the children at the VT Children’s Hospital.
The Gift Bag Project originally began with the raised awareness of the high school students, noted senior Fathima Sameen, that “there are many people who are less unfortunate and don’t have it as easy as some of us. By donating toys and gifts to the children at the Vermont Children’s Hospital, we provide them with enjoyment by getting smiles on their faces.”
