Wednesday April 04, 2012

It is time once again  to start thinking about this fabulous annual talent show. Mark the date, June 24, for the 6th Annual South Burlington Rotary Talent Show.  It will take place at the Rotary Band Shell in Dorset Park.

This exciting event showcases the incredible talent of our South Burlington community. Participants include youth, teens and adults. Last year’s performance featured a spry “young” senior playing his rendition of Sweet Georgia Brown on the spoons along with other instrumental and vocal performances.

Our judges will once again include Dr. Lewis First from the Vermont Children’s Hospital, Sharon Meyer, from WCAX TV Weather and an exciting new judge, Katie Levasseur, the current Miss Vermont.  Resident Jamie Polli from University Mall will be our fun-loving emcee.

We are looking for a broad range of talent including singing, dancing, magicians and yes even playing spoons. Individuals and groups are welcomed.
This year we have added a new category. We look to showcase groups of 3+ from businesses or offices within the city. What a great opportunity to have fun and share this experience with fellow workers.

Information and entry forms are available at the South Burlington Recreation office in City Hall, 846-4108 or online at  Deadline for registration is June 1.
