The Friends of the Horticulture Farm present their 20th Annual Bloom-Time Festival and Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 16 at the University of Vermont’s (UVM) Horticulture Research and Education Center, also known as the “Hort Farm.”
Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy under the elms, savor the sweet smell of crabapples and lilacs, stroll through the flowering shrub collections, and observe the plein air painters at work. There will be music, face painting, hayrides, fairy houses to build, talks to increase your knowledge of gardening, and plenty of fun for the whole family. Special this year is a Bird Walk with Maeve Kim at 8:00 a.m., followed by coffee, tea, and muffins.
Plan to purchase your annual and veggie starts from the UVM Greenhouses, Master Gardeners, Farmer Training Program, and Catamount Farm booths. Everyone is welcome to attend this family friendly event that will be held rain or shine.
