On Friday, February 8th, South Burlington High School (SBHS) will hold their annual Fine Arts Dessert Night, showcasing the artistic accomplishments of many of their students. The event will take place in the Frederick Tuttle Middle School cafeteria.
Visual arts students are currently busy developing skills and learning new art-making techniques for the show, and their work highlights creativity and disciplined practice. Drawing, painting, clay, and other mixed media will be on display and a variety of music will be shared throughout the evening. Music students have been performing concerts in school and in the community to prepare.
The evening will begin at 7 p.m. with an art exhibition featuring student creations from each of the visual arts classes, and continues at 7:30 p.m. with instrumental ensembles, the SBHS Chamber Singers, choral groups, vocal soloists, World Drummers, and a Jazz Band performance.
Guests will enjoy freshly brewed coffee, punch, and delicious desserts. Communities of student, parent, and teacher volunteers are collaborating to transform the middle school cafeteria into an elegant gallery café. This event is open to the public; tickets can be purchased at the door. Come celebrate the hard work of these young artists.
