Castleton University recently announced Grace Johnson and Malik Hines were named to All-Conference teams in lacrosse. Both athletes hail from South Burlington.

After leading the team to a perfect 8-0 record in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC), Johnson earned NAC Women’s Lacrosse Second-Team All-Conference honors earlier this year. In addition, she earned all-conference honors for the first time as she posted 25 points on 14 goals and 11 assists in eight NAC games. Johnson added 27 draw controls, 17 ground balls, and six caused turnovers.

Hines was one of five Spartans to be named to the NAC Men’s Lacrosse All-Conference First Team earlier this year after leading the Castleton men’s lacrosse to a 7-1 record in conference play. A key cog in a defense that posted a 3.97 goals against average and ranked first in the NAC with 12.9 caused turnovers per game, Hines individually had nine caused turnovers and nine ground balls with one turnover.
