Thursday January 29, 2015
Join the discussion on the future of the Underwood Property at a Public Design Workshop Thursday, January 29 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at City Hall.
The City of South Burlington purchased this 60-acre parcel of land located on the corner of Spear Street and Nowland Farm Road with Open Space Funds in 2013. A task force appointed by city council has been working with consultants since November. Their work has focused on how to best use this land around the themes of agriculture, recreation, and natural resource conservation. Three design concepts have been created and are ready for public review and comment.
The agenda for the evening will include an overview of the project, summary of the site analysis and constraints, a review of the process to date, outline of the three primary frameworks and the amenities being considered for each, presentation of the design concepts, breakout sessions to discuss and gather comments on the three concepts, and a recap from the discussion groups.
Don’t miss this opportunity to help plan the future of this unique South Burlington park property.
