The Kidshow musical theatre camp recently celebrated its 30th year with the production of Mother Goose, Incorporated.  The camp, under the direction of South Burlington resident and teacher Wendy Valastro and Grace Freeman attracted children from all over Chittenden and Addison counties.  The week-long musical theatre camp, designed for students entering grades 5 through 9,  focuses on the process as well as the final production.

Many of the previous campers returned to help teach theatre skills to the young enthusiastic participants with vocal/acting workshops as well as singing and dancing classes.  This summer, Ms. Valastro’s daughter Laura, and fellow South Burlington High School student Melissa Arioli assisted at the week-long camp. The busy week was spent learning songs and dances, building and painting sets, rehearsing scenes, and participating in an exciting variety of theatre activities.  The week wrapped up with the children presenting a musical production for their families, friends, and the public.
