Friday and Saturday, June 14th and 15th, volunteers from the St. John Vianney Knights of Columbus Council in South Burlington will be collecting for the annual Persons With Intellectual Disabilities Fund Drive.
Be sure to look for the Knights this weekend at these South Burlington businesses: Al’s French Fry’s, Dunkin’ Donuts and the Rite Aid Pharmacy. Money collected through the “Tootsie-Roll Drive” will go to help those with intellectual, cognitive, learning, and psychological disabilities.
Collection hours for both Friday and Saturday are the same. At Dunkin’ Donuts the hours will be 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Collections will be accepted 11a.m. to 7 p.m. at Al’s French Fry’s, and at Rite Aid Pharmacy the hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
And if you are wondering why they call it the “Tootsie Roll Drive”, it’s because you will receive a tasty, complimentary, Tootsie Roll treat with any donation.
The KOC volunteers will have on bright red and yellow aprons that you just can’t miss. Help the Knights assist people with intellectual and physical disabilities.
