Leonardo’s Sauce is the secret ingredient that has made Leonardo’s Pizza famously irresistible in Burlington, Vermont for over twenty years.  Leonardo’s is proud to announce that their sauce is now available for purchase in retail stores around our area.

Leonardo’s Pizza, the “creative quality pizza”, was founded by Phil George of South Burlington in 1990.  Phil believed in a premium product made with robust and innovative flavor combinations.  Phil’s daughter, Sara Byers, and her husband, Kelly Byers, joined the family business in 2001.  In identifying future growth opportunities, they developed and pursued the idea of jarring their pizza sauce.  The pizza industry has grown and changed in the last few years, with many people making pizza at home.  They hope to meet this need and offer a variety of fresh, quality sauces for at –home pizza making.  Phil spent many months perfecting the sauce recipes, which incorporate the same high standards of quality and integrity that made Leonardo’s Pizza a success.

Leonardo’s Pizza Sauce is made in Vermont and is currently available in three flavors:  Original, Roasted Garlic, and Olive and Caper.  It can be found at local South Burlington food retailers, such as Healthy Living.  Leonardo’s has also begun partnering with food distributor, Vermont Roots, to offer their sauce at other Vermont grocers and specialty stores.  Now, you can experience the flavor foundation of Leonardo’s on your own pizza, pasta or as a dipping sauce at home.
