Julia Marlin, a seventh grade student at Tuttle Middle School, will be taking a trip to the Dominican Republic over her April school vacation with her mother, Jane Marlin, to do volunteer work with disadvantaged children. The Marlins will be teaching local students English and Spanish literacy skills through the organization, Outreach 360.
This is not a volunteer vacation at the beach; the Marlin Team will be working full days with these children with the hope that they will have a life full of choice, such as the ability to go to college, find gainful employment, or go into service work.
