Rick Marcotte Central School’s penny drive this year was designated for Moretown Elementary School.  Recently, Duane Pierson, principal of Moretown Elementary School, and several sixth graders from that school came to RMCS. They spoke to staff and students about the aftermath of Hurricane Irene and showed slides of their school and nearby homes after the hurricane. The students and staff at RMCS presented Moretown with a check for $1,129.39…as well as a few pennies that still hadn’t been counted.  Moretown Elementary plans to put this money towards new flooring in their school.
