The photography of South Burlington artist Sara London-Hinman will be posthumously on display at the Designhaus, 22 Church Street (second floor) during the month of August. An opening reception that coincides with the August ‘First Friday Art Walk’ will be held on Friday, August 5, from 5 - 8 p.m. It is open to the public. The exhibit will be open on Fridays in August from 5–7 p.m. or by appointment. Sponsors of the exhibit are LeZot Camera and, from South Burlington, Cyndi Freeman Photography’s sister company: Foto Interiors.
This exhibit commemorates the life and work of Sara London-Hinman, a young South Burlington artist, photographer and musician who in 2006, at age 19, died unexpectedly from complications related to heart disease. Sara was also a violist and member of the VT Youth Orchestra Association from 2000 to 2005. As a member of the VYO, she performed with the orchestra and guest artist Trey Anastasio at Carnegie Hall in September 2004.
Sara’s quirky creative spirit is showcased in this collection of her photography, painting, and memorabilia entitled “What is Lovely Never Dies.” A portion of proceeds from sales of photographs will be donated to the Sara London-Hinman Scholarship Fund of the VT Youth Orchestra Association.
