Are you up to speed on next week’s election-day topics? There is still time to be informed for voting day.

Pre-Town Meeting, Monday evening, March 2 at 7 p.m. in the F. H. Tuttle Middle School cafeteria, offers residents the opportunity to gather with friends and neighbors to hear details about city and school budgets, meet the candidates, and clarify any questions they may have about items appearing on the ballot.

Budget Presentations

Beginning at 7 p.m., the city budget will be presented, followed by time for discussion. The school budget presentation and discussion will follow at 7:30 p.m.

City Council Candidate Forum

Four candidates who are running for open seats on the city council are scheduled to take part in a forum discussion from 8-8:45 p.m. Incumbents Pat Nowak and Helen Riehle are each running unopposed for their currently held seats on the council. Thomas Chittenden and Tracey Harrington are vying for the three year seat which was vacated by Pam Mackenzie. There are two years remaining in the term.

School Board Candidate Forum

The school board candidate forum will begin at 8:45. Current Chair Elizabeth Fizgerald is running unopposed for her 3 year seat. Patrick Leduc is running uncontested for the 2 year term.

Incumbent City Clerk Donna Kinville is running unopposed for the three-year city clerk term.
