The Green Mountain Water Environment Association (GMWEA) has awarded its 2016 Laboratory Excellence Award to Jennifer Garrison of the South Burlington Department of Public Works. The Andrew D. Fish Laboratory Excellence Award is given annually to an individual for outstanding activity in laboratory performance at work, community service, education, committee participation, or other outstanding contributions. Garrison has worked as a laboratory analyst for over 18 years, the last 4 of those years for the South Burlington Vermont Water Quality Department. She is a member of the South Burlington Health and Safety Committee and has a BS in Biology from Johnson State College, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1998. Garrison received her award at the GMWEA spring meeting held in Killington Vermont.
