Common Roots is excited to announce that the South Burlington Farmers Market is moving to a new location. Beginning Sunday July 26, you can find the Farmers Market at 155 Dorset Street (University Mall), near the green space at the Market Street intersection. The Market will continue to run from 10 am to 2 pm every Sunday through October 11. EBT and Debit are accepted, and thanks to the Northeast Organic Farmers Association (NOFA), EBT customers receive double their EBT withdrawal up to $10.
This community-oriented Farmers Market is a great alternative to the grocery store, with bountiful farm-fresh produce, free-range poultry and eggs, and pasture-raised beef and pork each week. It’s also the perfect place to grab some lunch and peruse local art ranging from beaded jewelry to pottery, prints, and drawings while listening to live local music. Lunch options include delicious “farm to table” food from Vermont Homegrown Fare, plus moussaka and other mouthwatering dishes from Mediterranean Mix. Fulfill your sweet tooth with a bag of fresh-popped, maple sugar-sweetened kettle corn from Green Mountain Kettle Corn, and satisfy all your maple syrup needs at the Sugartree Maple tent. Don’t miss our newest vendor Firefly Flowers for a stunning selection of fresh-picked custom bouquets!
For kids ages 5 to 12, the South Burlington Farmers Market also features the POP Club (Power of Produce), a nationally-recognized program that empowers kids to make healthy food choices. POP Club members enjoy a taste test and receive a $3 token to purchase produce from Market vendors. Not a member yet? Stop by the Market to register!
