There is no doubt that South Burlington is well served by a dedicated and capable fire department, but a formal recognition of their public service has not existed…until now.
South Burlington Firefighters will be honored at a recognition dinner Friday, February 21.
The event is being organized by South Burlington City Councilor Pat Nowak, who believes the department should be formally acknowledged for their unparalleled commitment to the community. “I feel this type of dinner is long overdue for such a great team under the leadership of Chief Doug Brent,” she said.
Guest speaker for the evening is recently retired Deputy Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Public Safety John Wood.
This is an opportunity to join together to say thank you to our SB Firefighters for their dedication and service to the community.
Dinner is at 6pm at Tuttle Middle school cafeteria. A limited number of tickets are still available for $15 each. Call now to reserve. 879.1553 or 238.2059.
