City Article II-Approval of City Budget. Passed

3,716 (59.63%) vote YES.

Shall the City adopt the City Council’s proposed budget for FY 2017 totaling forty million, two hundred ten thousand, three hundred seventy dollars ($40,210,370.00) of which it is estimated thirteen million, nine hundred ninety-five thousand, six hundred forty-two dollars ($13,995,642.00) will be raised by local property taxes?

City Article III-Borrowing and Application of the Conservation Fund Tax Levy. Passed

4,028 (69.65%) vote YES.

Shall the City Council be authorized to borrow an amount not to exceed one million, three hundred thousand dollars ($1,300,000.00), to be financed for a term not to exceed ten (10) years, for the purpose of funding enhancement projects in City-owned open space and natural areas as described in the Open Space and Natural Area Enhancement Plan approved by the City Council on January 19, 2016, and to appropriate not more than fifty percent (50%) of the existing annual Conservation Fund tax levy for payment of such debt obligations?

Presidential primary

6,328 votes were cast by SB residents in the primary.

27.80% of the ballots cast were Republican. The 1,759 votes were cast as follows: Jeb Bush 39, Ben Carson 38, Chris Christie 12, Ted Cruz 163, Carly Fiorina 5, John R. Kasich 695, Marco Rubio 367, Rick Santorum 3, Donald Trump 423.

72.20% of the ballots cast were Democratic. Of the 4,569 votes, 888 were cast for Hillary Clinton, 3,671 votes were cast for Bernie Sanders.
