Two recent graduates from South Burlington High School, Noah Beatty and Evan Geremia, were awarded scholarships from the Vermont Golf Association (VGA). According to VGA Executive Director Dave Pfannenstein, currently there are 48 students on VGA Scholarships each receiving at least $1,000 per year for their 4 years in college.

The VGA Scholarships are granted annually to Vermont high school graduates who, among other criteria, have an affiliation to the game of golf, such as competing on a golf team, working at a golf course, or participation in golf programs or events. 2015 marks the 51st anniversary of the VGA Scholarship Fund. Since 1964, 415 Vermont boys and girls received scholarship assistance totaling over $1,200,000. Each year, they award at least 10 new scholarships totaling more than $40,000, made possible through fund raising activities and donations by Vermont golfers and businesses.
