South Burlington’s Dan Wagner has won the Mater Christi School (MCS) GEO Bee, which took place on Friday, January 11th.  Students in grades 4 through 8 have been reviewing their geography facts for the challenge with their social studies teacher, Brent Tremblay, who is also advisor for the Bee. In-class competitions have been held between the students for the past several weeks. The Bee took place in the school gym, with all of the students in grades 4 through 8 as audience.

The next step for Wagner is to take a written test of 75 elements, administered by his advisor at the school. If he does well enough, this will qualify him to compete in the State level contest, which will be held in Middlebury in May.
