South Burlington High School hosts its 39th annual Fine Arts Festival Tuesday, April 16, 5:30-8:30 p.m. The general public and families of the high school, elementary, and middle schools are invited to attend the free exhibit. Celebrate the area’s talented youth, whose art is showcased in a lively and diverse exhibition of original works by South Burlington School District art students.

The festival features a comprehensive high school art show with a kindergarten through 12th grade display. Throughout the evening, music students will perform instrumental and vocal selections. There will also be face painting and a hands-on clay activity station for the younger audience.

Throughout the year, South Burlington students have been creating, collaborating, producing and performing, all while addressing the Common Core Standards and Proficiency Based Graduation Requirements. Original works on display are in a variety of media, from book making and kinetic art, to clay teapots and portrait paintings. Other works exhibited include works in the “Brightly Painted Eye Studies,” “Master-Inspired Painted Shoes,” and Humane Society animal portraits.
