Berlin City Grant

Chamberlin School receives Berlin City Grant.

Chamberlin School reading teacher Amanda Rickard, literacy coach Laura Payson, and their third grade students recently attended a lunch celebration at Berlin City Auto. Chamberlin School received a $1,500 grant from the Berlin City Auto Group through their Drive for Education program. The initiative, created by the employees of the Auto Group, has supported the purchase of library books, interactive whiteboards, music programs, audio equipment, and automotive testing equipment since 2011 to schools in Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire. Chamberlin School Principal Holly Rouelle reported that the grant will be used to purchase books for the school’s upper grade reading library adding, “Chamberlin School is grateful for this community partnership to support literacy in our South Burlington schools.”
