Jay's Christmas Party

The Community Bible Church (CBC) in South Burlington hosted its 4th annual Christmas party for children ages 2- 12 in December. This wonderful holiday event is sponsored by the Pomerleau family, Community Bible Church, and local businesses. The free community party for children honors the memory of Jeannette “Jay” Lefebvre and her love of Christmas.

Jay’s Christmas Party transforms CBC into a child’s fantasy. The scene is a winter wonderland, with games, balloons, professional face painting, singing puppets, crafts, and some favorite characters-like Buddy, Olaf, Elsa, Anna, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Tigger, Pooh and Frosty, and of course the jolly man himself, Santa with Mrs. Claus. Another special feature is a live Nativity scene with a real baby Jesus, Mary, Joseph, wise men and the angels.

Over 550 children attended the party’s two sessions, and left with wonderful memories of a visit with Santa, keepsake photos, gifts, candy, homemade cookies and balloons.

The Community Bible Church feels blessed to be able to share the real meaning of Christmas.
