Lyric Theatre Company announced that Noa Saunders is the recipient of the 2016 Delano-Nulty Scholarship. The award is named in honor of two of Lyric’s founding members, Howard Delano and Polly Nulty, and is given annually to an area high school senior to help defray expenses during his or her freshman year of college. Saunders has plans to attend New York University this fall and major in theater arts. She says her goal is to be a play and musical theater producer, a role she is familiar with. Saunders started her own production company, Spotted Pup Productions, in 2011 and has been producing shows ever since.
Lyric Theatre Company, a nonprofit volunteer community theater organization, has been a part of the area’s vibrant arts community for over 42 years and ranks as one of the largest amateur theater companies in the United States.
