The Senior Citizen’s Club recently started providing the club’s monthly newsletter again. Submissions of articles, announcements or suggestions can be given to Emily or Ray. Submissions can also be dropped off, mailed or called in to the Recreation Department.
Cards are often sent from the club to those who could use a little sunshine. If you know of someone who could use some words of encouragement please contact Virginia Giroux directly. Thank you again, Virginia for heading up the Sunshine Cause, your efforts certainly mean a lot to many people and the club thanks you for your dedication.

We will be showing “On Golden Pond” starring Katharine Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Jane Fonda and Squam Lake the filming location which we will be visiting on our trip. The film received a “5-star” rating and it’s a classic for sure. Popcorn, coffee, tea, and drinks will be served.
10:30am-12noon: Social Time
(Social Time = puzzles, cards, games, etc.); 12-1pm: Mothers/Fathers Day Luncheon - sandwiches and sides (please call ahead or sign the sheet so we know how many to expect, donations accepted); 1-2pm: Meeting and Birthdays; 2-3pm: Planting/craft project. & Bingo

Some Hot Tips for being in the sun and avoiding dehydration, heat stroke, and heat exhaustion.
1. Avoid being outside during the hottest hours of the day 11am-5pm.
2. Put sunscreen on at least 30 min before going outside. It takes 20–30 min for the sunscreen to absorb into your skin and start working.
3. Stay Hydrated. Drinking adequate amounts of water helps keep your body cool.
4. Wear light colored cotton clothing that breathes and is loose and comfortable.
