The South Burlington Veterans Committee and South Burlington High School invite all Veterans and their families, as well as the general public, to attend the fifth annual South Burlington Veterans Day Ceremony Monday, November 11 at 10 a.m. in the South Burlington High School gymnasium. The gathering will pay tribute to Veterans of all wars past and present.

The keynote speaker is Major General Steven A. Cray, who is the Adjutant General, Vermont, serving as the senior uniformed officer in the State. Major General Cray is responsible for the organization, training and equipping of nearly 4,000 members of the Vermont Army and Air National Guard.

The SBHS Chamber Singers will perform and students will share their Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) speeches. The South Burlington Fire Department will provide an Honor Guard and present the colors for the Assembly. Veterans will be acknowledged for their service to our country.

The Veterans Memorial at Dorset Park is now being constructed and may be ready for viewing by November 11. An official opening and dedication is planned for May 17, 2014 at Dorset Park.
