“The Day You Begin”

There will be a reading of “The Day You Begin” at the Frederick H. Tuttle Middle School on Jan. 24.

The South Burlington community is invited to join the South Burlington School District’s Healthy Schools program at the third annual Community Series on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on Thursday, Jan. 24, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Frederick H. Tuttle Middle School cafeteria, 500 Dorset Street.

The evening will begin with a reading of Jacqueline Woodson’s 2018 picture book “The Day You Begin.” Small-group dialogue will follow on topics of equity connected to the book.

January’s meeting is the second of four in the series for the 2018-2019 school year. The other two dates are the following Thursdays: Feb. 21 and Apr. 4, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Each of this year’s gatherings begins with a book to inspire dialogue and learning.
