Residents can help support the South Burlington High School Instrumental Music Department after the holidays by participating in the school’s annual Christmas Tree Pick-Up fundraiser. On Saturday, Jan. 5, Christmas trees will be picked up in all South Burlington neighborhoods for a $10 donation. All trees will be brought to the McNeil Generating Station at the Intervale in Burlington to be re-purposed into fuel.

To participate, make a check out to “SBHS Music,” put it in an envelope and plastic sandwich bag and attach it to the tree. Place tree by the curb no later than 10 a.m. the morning of Jan. 6, and a music student will take care of the rest. As it is difficult to bring a large truck into the narrow corners of some developments, condominium and apartment dwellers are reminded to leave their tree by the curb at the front of their development.

If your tree is not picked up by 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, call Bridgette at 598-8488 or Christina at 373-6937 and it will be taken care of promptly.
