From the City of South Burlington:

The South Burlington Memorial Day Ceremony will be held Friday, May 24, at 11:30 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park

Please join your neighbors for a special Memorial Day Ceremony at Veteran’s Memorial Park as fallen friends and family are remembered.

Since the earliest ceremonies in small American towns following the Civil War, Americans have gathered on Memorial Day to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation. As in those early days of laying wreaths and placing flags, this national day of remembrance is often felt most deeply among the families and communities who have personally lost friends and loved ones.

This national holiday may be the unofficial start of summer, but all Americans should take a moment to remember the sacrifice of our valiant military service members, first responders and their families.

Rain location will be at City Hall, 575 Dorset Street.
