Bolduc Joins City as Legal Counsel

Andrew Bolduc

The City of South Burlington announced that Andrew Bolduc has been hired as the city’s legal counsel. Bolduc returns to his hometown to serve the city; he grew up in South Burlington with his parents and sisters, who still reside here. Experienced in municipal law and litigation, Bolduc will begin work in the city manager’s office next week.

Bolduc comes to the city from McNeil, Leddy & Sheahan, a Burlington law firm experienced in representing municipalities, school districts, and other quasi-governmental entities. During his time with the firm, Bolduc worked with the City of St. Albans, the Town of Essex, and the City of Burlington, among others.

City Manager Kevin Dorn says, “I am happy to welcome one of South Burlington’s own back to serve our city. Having interacted with Andrew on city matters, I know he will be a strong resource for our team.”

Bolduc’s position of City Attorney will be officially confirmed at the November 7 city council meeting.

“I am excited to bring my litigation and municipal law experiences from representing various municipalities throughout Vermont back to my hometown. It is a wonderful community and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as its legal counsel,” said Bolduc.

Bolduc believes in giving back to his community. While living in Winooski, he served on the Winooski Development Review Board and as a trustee for the Winooski Valley Park District. He now lives with his wife in Burlington, and he enjoys tennis and fly fishing.

Bolduc received his J.D. from Vermont Law School and his B.A. in Economics from St. Michael’s College.
