HARTFORD - The EDGE Swim Team captured its sixth Division I state championships at the Vermont Swim Association championships on Aug. 3 and 4 at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center.
The EDGE captured 3,787 points to pace the D-I field, while Burlington Tennis Club (1976.5) came in second and the Town of Essex (1941.5) came in third.
Esther Cuneo (13-14 girls) helped to lead the EDGE team with a three-win performance, including a record-breaking swim in the 100-yard individual medley. Ella Miller (17-18 girls) also won three events, grabbing first in the 50-yard back, 100-yard back and the 50-yard fly.
Miles Cochrane paced EDGE in four events in the 17-18 boys category, winning the 100-yard breast, 200-yard IM, 50-yard breast and 100-ard fly. Joaquin Pinga also won four races - 50-yard free, 100-yard free, 200-yard free and 100-yard fly.
Jack French had two record-breaking races in the 11-12 boys category, winning the 50-yard breast race in 31.81 and the 100-yard breast in 1:10.01.
Brady Morigeau had a record in the boys 12 and under 100-yard backstroke, finishing 1:04.21.
Alissa Pavlov was the top finisher in the girls 7-8 division, capturing four wins for the EDGE. She won the 20-yard free, 25-yard back, 25-yard fly and the 50-yard fly.
Annaliese Moylan also won four races, this in the girls 11-12 division. She won the 100-yard free, 50-yard back, 100-yard IM and the 100-yard back.
Ross Macy also shined for the EDGE, winning the 200-yard free, the 100-yard back and the 50-yard fly in the boys 17-18 category.
