BFA-St. Albans 2, South Burlington 0: It was a .500 weekend for the South Burlington girls hockey team who started off with a big loss to Middlebury on Friday and then fell to Division I leader BFA-St. Albans on Saturday.
On Friday, Kate Hall had a goal and three assists to reach her 100th point this season as the Wolves topped the Tigers. Mia Angwin scored twice and Molly Gaboriault and Lily Truchon each tallied once.
Lyssa Tan earned the win with 24 saves.
On Saturday, BFA-St. Albans scored once in the first period and once in the second to earn a win over South Burlington.
Lizzie Hill and Peyton Dukas each had a goal for the Comets, who moved to 15-1. Maddie Hungerford made 15 saves to earn the shutout.
Tan made 20 saves in goal for South Burlington, who fell to 7-6-1.
South Burlington 4, Spaulding 2: The South Burlington boys hockey team fought its way back to .500 on Saturday with a win over Spaulding.
The Wolves move to 6-6-1 with the win.
Rice 59, South Burlington 51: The South Burlington boys basketball team took a first quarter lead but eventually fell to visiting Rice on Friday.
Brendan Bridge had 20 points to lead the Wolves, who fell to 7-8 with the loss. Owen MacDonough chipped in with 12 points.
CVU 72, South Burlington 35: The South Burlington girls b asketball team became the latest victim of Champlain Valley’s undefeated run on Thursday.
Greata Heldman had nine points to lead the way for the Wolves, who fell to 2-17.
Harper Meead (13 points ) and Makkena Boyd (12 points) paced the CVU offense (17-0).
South Burlington’s Camden Chiari won the boys slalom race on Monday at Mount Ellen. Chiari was the only finisher in the top 10 for the Wolves.
