South Burlington 7, Champlain Valley 1: Kate Hall’s offensive explosion led the South Burlington girls hockey team to a win over Champlain Valley on Saturday.
Hall had five goals and one assist for the Wolves, who move to 6-1-1. Mia Angwin added two tallies for South Burlington, while Lilly Truchon chipped in with three assists.
Payton Skillen had the lone goal for the Redhawks.
The Wolves also earned a win on Wednesday, beating Missisquoi 4-0. South Burlington has not lost a game since the opening match of the season.
South Burlington 7, Stowe 3: The South Burlington boys hockey captured their second win in a row on Saturday, topping host Stowe 7-3.
The Wolves also earned a win over Milton, beating the Yellowjackets 3-1 on Wednesday.
South Burlington 73, Colchester 40: A career night for Evan Parker helped the South Burlington boys basketball team snap a three-game losing streak with a win over Colchester on Friday.
Parker had 32 points, including six three-pointers, to paced the 4-4 Wolves. Brett Bohlman had 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Brendan Bridge added 10 points.
Carson Corrigan had 11 points to lead Colchester.
Rice 54, South Burlington 36: Kristen Varin scored 13 points to lead Rice to a win over cross-town rival South Burlington on Friday night.
Petra Langan added nine points for the Green Knights, who move to 7-3.
Colby Casey paced the Wolves (2-6) with 11 points and Gabi Ambrosino chipped in with 10.
Cam Chiari captured the win in the boys alpine race at Jay Peak on Friday.
Chiari finished in 1:19.88 to earn the win, while St. Johnsbury’s Hugo Hong came in second place.
