South Burlington 28, Rice 0: The South Burlington softball team made it four wins in a row with an inning-shortened victory over Rice on Thursday. 

The Wolves (6-1) scored 13 runs in the second inning en route to the win over the Green Knights. Anna Borrazzo earned the win in the circle, allowing four hits in five innings. 

Sarah Brown was 4-for-4 at the plate, hitting two doubles, while Shea O’Connor went 3-for-5.

South Burlington also grabbed a win on Tuesday, beating Burlington 19-6. 


South Burlington 4, Rice 3: South Burlington rallied for four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to squeak out a 4-3 win over Rice on Thursday. 

Seamus McGrath earned the win after allowing eight hits over seven innings of work. Ethan Moore hit an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth to drive in the eventual game-winning run. 

Brendan Precourt was 2-for-2 at the plate for South Burlington, who move to 6-1. 

The Wolves also got the win on Tuesday beating Burlington 10-0. 


South Burlington 10, Rutland 8: South Burlington held off Rutland’s comeback attempt to earn the win on Wednesday. 

Nico Strempek had five goals and an assist to lead the Wolves, who move to 3-3 with the win. Joe Balkan added four goals and two assists, while Brett Bohlmann made 15 saves to earn the win.
